New Patients

We would like to welcome you to Guilford Pediatrics!

Guilford Pediatrics is currently accepting new patients.

Whether you are a new or expectant parent, are new to the area, or transferring from another practice, our providers and staff look forward to welcoming you to our practice.

Here at Guilford Pediatrics, we strive to provide you with excellent care! We always have a provider on call. So before you go to the Emergency Room, please give us a call and speak to one of our providers.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TRANSFER PATIENTS

Due to the unprecedented new patient volume, Guilford Pediatrics is temporarily changing its new patient policy. Other than newborns, we will be booking new patients for physicals six months from the time of inquiry. Until that physical has occurred, transferring patients will need to maintain their current source of care for urgent visits. We cannot accommodate new urgent patient visits into our schedule at this time. We apologize for this inconvenience but are making this change to maintain our level of care to the patients and families we serve.

Newborns

Choosing a pediatrician for your new baby is an important decision. We offer free prenatal consultations to meet one of our providers before the baby is born and answer any questions you may have.

Upon admission to the hospital for your delivery, you will notify the staff of who your child’s pediatrician will be. When you are discharged from the hospital, you will be instructed to call our office to schedule your child’s first checkup.

After coming home from giving birth, your baby should see the doctor within the next 2-3 days. At your baby’s first visit, you should expect the provider to check the baby’s weight and height and answer any questions.

Our practice is currently affiliated with Yale New Haven Health. Babies born at other area hospitals are welcome to come to our office after birth.

Transfers

Guilford Pediatrics welcomes families who are transferring from another practice to ours. We are here to help you each step of the way to make your transition as quick and easy as possible.

The first step is to request a copy of your child’s complete medical record from their current doctor. We advise parents to have the record sent to them when possible to allow them the opportunity to copy the records and maintain a copy with you for the future. After you have made your copy, please forward one copy to our office for our records. Upon receipt of your child’s record, we can establish your account.

Don't hesitate to contact our offices if you require any additional information, and thank you in advance for placing your trust in our providers.
